Mattie Helen Basham, age 85 of McMinnville, Tennessee passed from this life on Sunday, June 10, 2018, at her home.
Helen was born Friday, February 10, 1933 in McMinnville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Ward and the late Winnie Jones Ward.
Helen is survived by her:
daughter - Betty Joyce Jones
2 grandchildren - Tabitha Hall and Kimberly Brady
5 great grandchildren - Daniel McKinney, Devin Hall, Brittany Brady, Tiffany Wade, and Joshua Brady
5 great great grandchildren
sister - Norma Jean Devenport
brother - W.L. Johnson Ward
many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband Billy Ray "Bob" Basham, son Kenneth Ray Basham, 3 sisters Mary Lydia Foster, Virga Edith Womack, Matilidia Pauline Bond 4 brothers Virgle Londen Ward, Margle Olis Ward, William Cliton Ward, and Leon Rundolph Ward.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home located at 415 North Chancery St. McMinnville, Tennessee 37110 with the Rex Boles officiating. Interment will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Smartt, TN.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, and again Wednesday, from 8 to 11 AM at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, 415 North Chancery St., McMinnville, Tennessee.
