Mr. Virgil Wayne Ross,age 80 of McMinnville, Tennessee passed from this life on Friday, October 22, 2021, at decendent's residence in McMinnville, Tennessee.
Wayne was born Wednesday, August 27, 1941 in McMinnville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Charlie Ross and the late Ophie Crawford Ross. He was the husband of Bessie (Catherine) Ross.
He worked as a bookkeeper for W. L. Hailey Construction Company for 35 Years.
He was a Marine veteran that served during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
He was survived by his wife, Catherine of 51 years of McMinnville, 3 daughters, Suzann Cramer and husband, Kevin Cramer of Kingsport, TN, Timpia Fletcher and husband, Jeff Fletcher of Morrison, TN, Alida Leto and husband, David Leto of Clarksville, TN, 1 son, Dwayne Ross and wife, Melissa Ross of Fall Branch, TN. He is also survived by his sister, Charlene Ward.
He was survived by 10 grandchildren, Melissa Anders, Amber Adams, Michael Ross, Chelsea Fugate, Misty Childers, Johnathan Appalsammy, Kayla Mines, David Leto, Isabella Leto, Josephina Leto, and 13 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Preceded in death by siblings, Wesley Ross, Dorthy Slatten, Juanita Ross, Bonita Reynolds, and Judy Williams.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday at Trinity Baptist Church located at 1701 John Oliver Road McMinnville, Tennessee 37110 with the Bro. Bobby Vickers officiating. Interment will be in Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Trinity Baptist Church, 1701 John Oliver Road , McMinnville, Tennessee.
