Obituary for Vida Pearl Parker (Hillis)
Mrs.Vida Pearl Parker,age, 94 of Rock Island, Tennessee passed from this life on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Mrs.Vida was born on Tuesday, March 29, 1927 in Rock River Community in Van Buren County. She was the daughter of the late James Irving Hillis and the late Maggie Gillentine Hillis.
Vida was a Homemaker and retired from Genesco Corp. and attended the Harmony Church of Christ. She also served in the Cedar Grove Community Club and the FCE Club.
Vida is survived by one son, James Allan Parker and wife Ann of Spencer, TN, one brother, Walter Hillis and wife Madalyn of Cedar Grove Community, several special nephews, nieces, sister-in-law Mayme Hillis and special friend, Barbara Hall of Texas.
She was preceded in death by husband, Alvia "AL" Parker Jr, son, Audie Dean Parker, sister Juanita Hillis, five brothers and sisters-in-laws, Karl and Jeanette Hillis, Earl and Cecile Hillis and Virginia Hillis, John and Elizabeth Hillis, Wince and Linda Hillis, Parker and Faye Hillis.
A Graveside Service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday at Crain Hill Cemetery with Bob McCoy officiating. Interment will be in Crain Hill Cemetery, Spencer, TN.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Crain Hill Building Fund or the Cemetery Fund.
Family request that mask be worn at the Graveside Service.
