Velma Clessie Anderson, age 80 of McMinnville, Tennessee passed from this life on Saturday, November 9, 2019, at NHC HealthCare, McMinnville.
Velma was born Saturday, January 28, 1939 in Dayton, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Freeman Bishop and the late Loretta Campbell Bishop.
Velma is survived by her:
3 daughters - Sheila Cathey and husband David Cathey
D.J. Hall
Christine Brower and husband Michael
2 sons - Jeff Hall and wife Belinda
Bruce Marshall
8 grandchildren - Kristie Lynn, Shania, Belinda, Nicholas, Ayden, Dominick, Kaylynn, and Lillyan
2 brothers - Larry Bishop
Win Bishop and Nikki Bishop
Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.
In addition to her parents, Velma was preceded in death by her husband Al Anderson, and a daughter Belinda Gay Hall.
Funeral service will be 2 PM Wednesday at the Gardens of Memory Funeral Home with Dorris Huges and Tim Deason officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, 415 North Chancery St., McMinnville, Tennessee.
In Lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Lexington, KY or the American Heart Association, in her memory.
