Obituary for Stephen Ray Potter
Stephen "Steve" Ray Potter, age 80 of Morrison, Tennessee passed from this life on Monday, May 4, 2020, at his home following an extended illness.
Steve was born Sunday, September 3, 1939 in Dunlap, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Auby Potter and the late Evelyn Heard Potter.
He served in the US Army. He was a member of Trinty Baptist Church in Lucky, TN. He was a sewing machine mechanic for 36 years prier to his retirement. He enjoyed camping and fishing, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.
Steve is survived by his;
wife of 44 years - Gail Martin Potter
2 sons - Stephen Potter and wife Stacie
Michael Potter
2 grandsons - Grayson and Aiden
5 sisters - Gladys Armstrong, Shirley Baker, Lisa Potter, Charlotte Potter, and Reba Simmons
brother - Tommy Potter
many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his two brothers Auby Potter, and Alvie Potter, four sisters Stella Potter, Ruth Rogers, June Chavez and Lois Grissom, and many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside service will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday at Mt. View Cemetery located at Hwy 30 McMinnville, Tennessee 37110 with the Jerry Smith officiating. Interment will be in Mt. View Cemetery, McMinnville, TN.
