Obituary for Sherril Dewayne Swann
Mr.Sherril Dewayne Swann age, 84 of McMinnville, Tennessee passed from this life on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at decendent's residence in McMinnville, Tennessee of a extended illness.
Sherril was born Friday, May 28, 1937 in Cullman, Alabama, he was the son of the late Orbria Swann and the late Myrtle Reno Swann.
He was a Veteran of Vietnam were he proudly served 22 and a half years as a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force.
Sherril worked at Aquatech in McMinnville TN for 35 years were he retired.
Sherril loved his Lord and his church at Gath Baptist Church were he was a faithful member for many years.
Sherril is survived by daughter Krysta Swann - Sherrill of McMinnville, TN., son Billy Dewayne Swann of McMinnville, TN. , granddaughter Stephanie LaShea Taylor and husband (Isaiah), of McMinnville, TN. and grandson Taylor Dewayne Barrett of McMinnville, TN. Mr. Sherril was also survived by his great grand-children Carson Aubrey Sherrill, Ella Victoria Akpan, Kennedy Lynn Taylor, and Ethan Jordan Barrett Osterling.
Mr. Swann is preceded in death by his loving wife, Alma Christine "Chris" Swann, of 54 years, his parents Orbria Dolphus and Myrtle Reno Swann, his two daughters Stephanie Joan "Joanie" Swann and Andrea Lynn Swann Barrett, his two great grand children, Amelia Coralyn Grace Swann and Tate Lewis Chipman Swann, brothers and sisters: Voight Swann, Edgar Leroy, Lola Swann Wilson, Modine Swann, Marion Swann
A Funeral service for Mr. Sherril D. Swann will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday at Gath Baptist Church located at 6967 Smithville Hwy. McMinnville, Tennessee 37110. With Bro. Rick Stewart officiating. Interment will be in Gath Cemetery, McMinnville, TN.
The family will receive friends at Gath Baptist Church from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 16, 2021. Interment will follow in the Gath Cemetery.
