Phyllis Marie Elkins, age 74 of McMinnville, Tennessee passed from this life on Monday, December 28, 2020, at Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee after an extended illness.
Phyllis was born Tuesday, December 17, 1946 in McMinnville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Ezekiel Melton and the late Marie Adair Melton.
She was a member of the Baptist Church and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Phyllis is survived by her:
2 daughters - Sheila L. Fann
Crystal Gillette and husband Greg
2 sons - Todd Bess and wife Renea
Brandon Elkins
3 grandchildren - Lexi Fann, Hunter Bess, and Justin Bess
3 great grandsons whom she adored - Brooks, Tucker, and Princeton
brother - Joe Melton and wife Margie
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Vernon Elkins, a granddaughter Allison Marie Gillette, and special aunt Loraine Reagan.
A Graveside service will be at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Mtn. View Cemetery with Greg Mitchell officiating. Interment will be in Mtn. View Cemetery, McMinnville, TN.
