James Raymond Fish, age 83 of McMinnville, Tennessee passed from this life on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Born Monday, February 7, 1938 in Smithville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Wiley Fish and the late Ceva Raymond Fish.
May 11, 1962 was the day that he married Wilma Lois Padgett Fish, the love of his life. He was of the Pentecostal faith, and he shared his faith with all who would listen.
He loved being a husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend to all he was blessed to have in his life. His surviving family members are thankful to all who loved him in return.
James is survived by his:
wife, Wilma Lois Padgett Fish
daughter, Tena McMahan and husband Richard
granddaughter, Sarah Lara and husband Adam
brother, Charles Fish and wife Barbara
brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Morris and Shirley Neal, Rose Padgett Campbell, Jimmie Mae and David Brass, Ralph and Marilyn Padgett, John and Marie Padgett and Clay Randolph
A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who he loved dearly also survive.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his sister Betty Ruth Fish Moore and husband Harold, sister-in-law Ruth Padgett Neal, and two brother-in-laws, Zeddie Campbell and Paul Padgett.
A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home with Daniel Campbell officiating. Interment will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Smartt, TN.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, 415 North Chancery St., McMinnville, Tennessee.
