Gay Lynn Smith, age 75 of McMinnville, Tennessee passed from this life on Friday, March 4, 2022, at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Gay was born Friday, September 13, 1946 in Fremont, Nebraska, he was the son of the late Sherman Smith and the late Mabel Dau Smith.
Gay is survived by his:
wife, Marilyn Poyner Smith
daughter, Brandy Kelly and husband Josh
son, Brad Smith
grandson, Asher Kelly
brother, Gene Smith and wife Anita
many other family members and friends also survive.
A Memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home located at 415 North Chancery St. McMinnville, Tennessee 37110.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, 415 North Chancery St., McMinnville, Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital P.O. Box 1000 Dept 142 Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
