Gary Tilton Hillis, age 77 of McMinnville, Tennessee passed from this life on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at his home.

Gary was born Monday, May 13, 1940 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Overton Hillis and Mary Fugate Hilllis.

Gary is survived by his:
2 sons - Gary Wayne Hillis life partner Mark Taylor
Ronnie Lee Hillis and wife Lisa
2 granddaughters - Jennifer Johnson and husband Travis
Jessica Sweeten and husband Brandon
6 great grandchildren - Brittani, Halee, Destani, Keely, Aiden, and Canyon
2 great great grandchildren on the way
sister - Sandra Panter
brother-in-law - Lanny King and wife Joy
many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his wife Beatrice K. Hillis, grandson Jeremy Wayne Hillis, and a brother Ebbie Hillis

A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home. Interment will be in Crain Hill Cemetery, Spencer, TN.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 9 PM on Monday, April 9, 2018, and again Tuesday from 8 AM to 1 PM at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, 415 North Chancery St., McMinnville, Tennessee.
