Mrs. Dorothy Louella Solomon, age 83, of McMinnville, Tennessee passed from this life on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at Saint Thomas MidTown Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
Dorothy was born on Wednesday, March 14, 1934 in McMinnville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Hackett Settles and the late Betty Walling Settles. She was the wife of Sherman Edward Solomon.
She was a member of Church of Christ at Mt. View and she was a home maker.
Dorothy is survive by her husband of 58 years, Sherman Edward Solomon, two daugthers, Sylvia Lorraine Solomon of McMinnville, TN, Vivian Yvonne Solomon of McMinnville, TN, one son, Joe Edward and Veronica Lynn Solomon of McMinnville, TN, two brothers, Zollie Settles of McMinnville, TN, Rollie and Lillie Settles of Midway Texas,
Three grandsons, Casey Andrew Solomon, Joesiah Edward Solomon, Joelah Sherman Solomon all of McMinnville, TN,
Preceded in death by by her parents, Hackett Settles and Betty( Walling )Settles, three brothers, Charles Edward Settles, Joe Brown Settles, and James Franklin Settles.
A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home located at 415 North Chancery St. McMinnville, Tennessee 37110 with the Bro. Jerry Ruthledge officiating. Interment will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Smartt, TN.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, 415 North Chancery St., McMinnville, Tennessee.
