Dorothy Lee Johnson, age 71 of McMinnville, Tennessee passed from this life on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at Saint Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville, Tennessee.
Dorothy was born Thursday, June 26, 1947 in High Point, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late James Dilldine and the late Elizabeth Henly Dilldine.
Dorothy was a home maker and a loving wife for 52 years also a factory worker with A.O. Smith for 13 years.
She was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in McMinnville, TN.
Dorothy is survived by her:
2 sons - Eddie C. Johnson, Jr. of McMinnville, TN
Jimmy Johnson and wife Bonnie of Whigham, GA
sister - Betty Sue Johnson and husband Kenneth of McMinnville, TN
9 grandchildren - Aysha Cagle, Kalana Johnson, Galen Johnson, Kelcey Johnson, Myra Johnson, Phillip Evans, Tiffany Evans, Alexis Johnson, Ashley Gooch, and many great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Eddie C. Johnson, four brothers David Dilldine, Johnny Dilldine, Billy Dilldine, and Douglas Dilldine, sister Sylvia Dilldine, and a son Jerry Johnson.
Memorial service will be held at Faith Missionary Baptist Church at 2 PM Saturday, February 9, 2019. The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 PM at the Church.
Interment will be in Horton Springs Cemetery at a later date.
