Obituary for Dean Allen Grayson
Dean Allen Grayson, age 64 of McMinnville, Tennessee passed from this life peacefully on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee surrounded by his children and family.
Dean was born Sunday, May 16, 1954 in McMinnville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Ossie Grayson.
A 1973 graduate of Warren County High School. He was a four-year member of the Warren County High School basketball team and participated in numerous school activities. He was known as star basketball player and trash-talker. Basketball and trash-talking came hand in hand.
If there is anyone in life that enjoyed a good party, it was Dean. He was known for being the life of the party with his witty personality and contagious laugh. He was truly a person that set out to annoy you.
Dean was an avid sports fan. He was an even larger fan of his children in anything they did.
In 1978 he married his one true love Nathana Grayson with whom they had three girls Marlena, Jessica, and Deanna. He loved his family and was very proud of his children.
He had a life-long affair with music, singing, dancing, playing the harmonica, cards (spades) and sports. He didn't run for political office, but was known as the "unofficial" Mayor of McMinnville.
He will be incredibly missed by all who loved him.

2 daughters - Marlena Lusk and husband Rick
Jessica Grayson
grandson - Antwaun Vaughn
brother - Steven Roberts
two aunts - Lillie Lee Kennedy
Magnolia Solomon and husband Harold
special friends - Ex-wife Nathana Grayson and Fred Locke Jr.
Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
Dean was preceded in death by his mother Ossie Lee Grayson; daughter Deanna Renea Grayson; grandmother Susie Foster Grayson: aunt Francis McKinley; and three uncles Thurman Grayson, Willie Lee Grayson, and Hershel Hudson.
A Funeral service will be at 6:00 PM on Thursday at East End Drive Church of Christ located at 229 East End Drive McMinnville, Tennessee 37110.
