Obituary for Chalmus Wayne Campbell

Chalmus Wayne "Black Pot" Campbell, age 81 of McMinnville, Tennessee passed from this life on Friday, October 30, 2020, at Woodbury Nursing Center in Woodbury, Tennessee. From an extended battle with cancer. He had his loving children by his side and passed as he lived with Strength and Grace.

Chalmus was born Tuesday, May 23, 1939 in Woodbury, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Hubert Campbell and the late Emma Miller Campbell.

Chalmus is survived by his:
wife - Peggy L. Myers Campbell
daughter - Melody Elrod and husband David
son - Johnny Campbell and wife Gaybrielle
sister - Dean Fults
several beloved grandchildren - Sid and Jessica Elrod, Justin Elrod, Hunter Elrod, Shannon Campbell, Kendra Archer, and Carissa Campbell
great grandchildren - Hope, Riley, Joy, Zachery, Sheligha, Collin, Colton, Caden, Brody, Bryson, Chloe, Carson, Caleigh, Faith, Katelyn, Maggie, and Kaydence.
many nieces, nephews, relativevs and friends also survive.

In addition to his parents, Chalmus was preceded in death by his five siblings Felicia, Joyce, Virginia, Roy and Hoyte, and a grandson Mickey Campbell.

Chalmus made a living doing what he enjoyed and that was trucking and lawn mowing. When he was driving a truck he was known as Black Pot.
He enjoyed fishing and family time.

A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Friday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home located at 415 North Chancery St. McMinnville, Tennessee 37110 with Larry Ashford officiating. Interment will be in Smyrna Cemetery, McMinnville, TN.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, November 5, 2020, and again Friday from 8 AM to 1 PM at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, 415 North Chancery St., McMinnville, Tennessee.
