Obituary for Arnold Palmer Jr.
Arnold "Cotton" Palmer, Jr., age 93 of McMinnville, Tennessee passed from this life on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at NHC HealthCare, McMinnville in McMinnville, Tennessee.
Cotton was born Thursday, December 24, 1925 in Cookeville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Arnold Palmer and the late Pauline Sadler Palmer.
He was one of the oldest WW2 veterans in Warren County. He served in the US Army with Big Red One in the Battle of the Bulge and in Europe.
Cotton is survived by his:
2 son - Patrick Palmer and wife Becky of Dresden, TN.
Dewayne Palmer of McMinnville
step-son - Jerry Hargis and wife Lisa of McMinnivlle
daughter-in-law - Kay Palmer of Christiana
2 sisters - Vivian Bailey and Sue Clark
13 grandchildren
22 great grandchildren
3 great great grandchildren
many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
In addition to his parents, Cotton was preceded in death by his first wife Dolores June Palmer Mayes, second wife Jerold Dean Palmer, son Michael Palmer, and two brothers Paul and Harold Palmer.
A Graveside service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Gardens of Memory Cemetery located at 5201 Manchester Hwy. Smartt, Tennessee 37378 with Andy Erwin officiating. Interment will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Smartt, TN.
