Obituary for Antha Lavern Coppinger (Brady)

Antha Lavern Coppinger passed away peacefully November 17, 2022 after a long illness. She was 89 years old.

Lavern’s greatest love was her family. She was truly the best mother and grandmother and took every opportunity she could to brag on her grandchildren. She also had a passion for sewing. From children’s clothing to beautiful draperies - she could sew anything.

Lavern loved the Lord with her whole heart and soul. She worshiped at Parkwood/ Northside Church of Christ her entire adult life. She rarely missed a service.

She is survived by her sons Ricky (Debbie) and Tommy (Pam), her daughters Debi (Ray) and Kim (Joe), three grandchildren (Brandon, Austin, and Cody), five great-grandchildren, sisters Hazel and Brenda, and brother Gary. She is preceded in death by her husband Jesse Willie Coppinger. They were married for over 40 years before his passing in 1992.

To know her was to love her, and she will be missed beyond measure. We rejoice in the fact, however, that her mind and body are completely restored and she is in the arms of the Lord.

Mrs. Coppinger’s family will receive visitors at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, with Service to follow at 2:00 p.m.

Serving as pallbearers are Brandon Coppinger, Austin Coppinger, Cody Coppinger, Dylan Leonard, Luke Leonard, and Joe Leonard. Honorary pallbearer: Ray Rigney
